Flashcards memorization app for Russian national exam

Brand identity, landing page, and app UI for the memCards EdTech startup.

memCards app makes preparation for Russian national exam (ЕГЭ) fun. Based on effective memorization techniques it helps to build strong knowledge and confidence.

Before

Exam prep is a torture.

After

Launched memCards every day and got 100 points in History.

The app idea is based on Sebastian Leitner's flash cards system.

Analyzing competitors, I suggested supporting flash card mechanics with gamification. User/player completes challenges, collects resources, improves reputation with NPCs, and fights bosses.

Advantages of gamification

We retain users more effectively and mask tiring preparation with the gameplay loop.

Within a month of intensive work, we managed to assemble a full set for product launch.

I analyzed competitors, developed naming and identity, worked out userflows and detailed the UI. Plus set the direction for illustrations, and prepared the landing page design.

Collaboration

A very high-paced and exciting project. I regularly brainstormed with the founders and got opportunity to implement my ideas.
